  • Assess the lawful use of the site and its existing traffic-generating potential.

• Traffic Impact Assessments

  • Undertake initial traffic flow predictions, discounting existing traffic to assess net impacts.

  • Identify appropriate forms of junctions to accommodate traffic efficiently, ensuring minimal network disruption.

  • Conduct speed surveys to inform key access design features, including junction visibility and sight lines.

• On-Site Surveys and Data Collection

  • Perform critical measurements of highway geometry and photographically document site conditions.

  • Assess current vehicle movements across the local network and determine the impact of additional traffic.

• Sustainable Access and Facilities

  • Review the availability of sustainable travel options such as pedestrian, cycle, and public transport facilities.

  • Highlight connections to essential amenities, including shops, schools, healthcare, and employment hubs, as per National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) requirements.

• Development Suitability

  • Analyse the mix, scale, and nature of proposed developments (e.g., residential, commercial, industrial) in relation to transport capacity and sustainability.

  • Evaluate deliverability and cost-effectiveness of the access strategy.
